History
Urban Connection-San Antonio (UC-SA) is a holistic faith-based, community development organization dedicated to addressing the root cause of poverty. We partner with the poor who come to us in need, and together we work to address issues such as hunger, education, and workforce development. We believe in empowering individuals to transform their own lives so that they can achieve their full potential. Originally founded as a satellite program of City Square (formerly known as Central Dallas Ministries), UC-SA began in 2002 and received their separate 501(c)3 in September 2008.
Serving the residents in the San Antonio Housing Authority (SAHA) property, Lincoln Heights Courts (LHC), UC-SA strives to live out Luke 10:27.
” He answered: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
